Let's Try This Again

Do Over

So It has been a little over a year since I have posted. Yet I have not really accomplished anymore than I had at this time last year, or it seems like. So Lets try this again.

First an update on goals I started last year. I got Brax's quilt up on quilting frames and quilted (it only took 6 months) and then took it down to do the binding. Well I was going to use Chris's parents quilting machines to do the edges but they have still have a quilt on it so I am going to pay another lady to do the edges. So one project almost done. Next goal eating and exercising. Lets just say this part is going to be a redo. I did great for a while and then got into a slump and now I am back to square 1 pretty much. Next my laundry. I have actually started accomplishing that goal a lot thanks to my first post. I have decided that my laundry will never be done 100% but I am down to having only a few batches a week which is a lot better than the 15 to 20 batches I use to have because I only did it every couple of weeks (Yes I am admitting I am a major procrastinator).

Braxton turned 6 years old on February 8th. He had his first official friend party. Which included inviting not only his cousins but also a few boys from the neighborhood as well as all of the boys from his class. We had 13 boys out of the 19 show. Lets just say it was a little wild at times but overall not too bad. Brax had a blast and still two weeks later him and all the boys in his class are still talking about it.
Brynlee is 3 1/2 and will turn 4 on May 29th. She is into everything princess and loves pink, purple and yellow right now. We got her ears pierced on Saturday. She loves them now that it is done, but was not so sure about the whole adventure during the process.
Christian Graduated from Weber State in December with his Bachelor degree in Business Administration (insert big sigh of relief here). He still works in Salt Lake helping people invest their money.
I am still working at Circle of life one day a week (my day away from reality). I am also still doing daycare out of my home. Last year I did the Wasatch Back Ragnar as well as Vegas. It was a blast. This year I am just doing the Ogden and Bear Lake Half Marathons. I may also do the dirty dash with Chris and some of our other family members.

It seems like life is always so busy that keeping up on everything is pretty much next to impossible. So this year (again my New Years resolution is off to a late start) is to get my house in order. Not only de junk everything, but actually get everything put together. So here goes nothing. A lot of what I want to do comes from the internet (How did people live without it:)).
I have a lot of plans and ideas that I am going to use off of Pinterest as well as other sites. So we will see how it goes. My other goal is to get in shape! I turn 30 this year (yes folks 30! How did that happen so fast). So my goal is to lose 30 lbs by my b-day. I have a lot of work to do. So here it goes. First day of the rest of my life REDO!

At the end of the day saying “I will try again tomorrow.”

Day 2 of the rest of my life

Today I got a media player on my site (Yeay, Thanks to my brother Dale). I am still working on doing laundry. Hopefully I will be able to see the floor to my closet soon (I really can't believe I am admitting something like that, But it is the first step to realizing I need to change is admitting it). The second thing I am working on is a more positive attitude. INstead of thinking of all the things that I have not done today I am going to focus on what I got done. I am also going to try to do at least one thing for some one else (not in my family) once a week. Today I made 2 dz cookies for a funeral. hopefully by striving to be a better neighbor and friend my mood will improve and help me keep motivated. I will let you know how that works.

Reach high, for stars lie hidden in your soul. Dream deep, for every dream precedes the goal.

Getting A late Start on the new year

So It has taken me a little time to realize I need to change a lot of things in my life. Even though the new year started a month in a half ago. I am now to the point in my life where I am going to start getting it together. The first thing I am going to do is lose weight by exercising and eating better. I have decided the best way to do this is to become accountable. So I am going to do this by keeping my blog up to date with my progress. Today I started out by running a short run of a 1.5 miles. This is not a lot but hey it is a start. Once I got done with my run I did 10 push ups. Also not a lot but it is a starting point. I will post pictures as I go so I can actually see if it is doing any good. The next goal in my life is to get my house in order. I am always feeling like I cannot catch up. I feel like I have started a million projects but don't ever finish them. This is the year I am going to finish everything I start ( I know that is a big goal, but it is do able). Today I am going to work on getting my laundry done and getting Brax's quilt set up and start to get it sewn together. Wish me luck! Here is to the first day of the rest of my life (lol I stole this saying from a book title I think).

While Taking the Plunge

I was so excited to get on and blog. I was quickly reminded when I got done and went into the other room why it has taken me so long to take the plunge. There was my little Braxton sitting on the couch coloring. The only problem was he had gotten bored of coloring in his coloring book so he took it one step further and decided to color on him self. I walked away twice before I could compose myself enough to even act like I was mad. When I finally walked up to him, he looked at me and said mom I am soo sorry (while rubbing his belly). LOL it was all I could do to not laugh out loud as I took his pic.

Taking the Plunge

So I have decided to finally take the plunge and enter the world of blogging. I have had the starts of my blog for 2 years now but have finally gotten around to getting it all together. If you are reading this blog you probably know either Christian ( Chris to some of you) or me (Chauntel).

For those who haven't seen or talked to us for a while here is the low down. Christian and I have been married for 6 years. We have 2 children Braxton who is 4 and Brynlee who is 2. Braxton is in his second year of preschool and Brynlee will hopefully be potty trained by next year to start her 1st year of preschool (we have a lot of work ahead of us). We live in Morgan, Utah and have lived here for just over 3 years. Christian works at an Investment firm and I run a daycare from home among many other things.

Christian loves to Mountain bike. So if any of you need a mountain biking buddy feel free to contact him. He is always looking for friends to go with (Plus I won't feel so guilty for making him go by himself). I love to decorate and refinish things. We love to camp, fish, and hangout in Moab.
